Through the callbacks for PostLock and PreUnlock, if a file is checked in or out utilizing the PDM Include-in for Solidworks, the file is often in read through-only standing and are unable to be modified. However, when examining in or out via explorer and opening the file, the file is not read through-only and can be modified. I would like to make modifications to a file throughout the check out out process and help save it (domestically) which are unable to be accomplished because of to the file becoming read through-only, and I would also like to make modifications to a file throughout the check out in process and help save it which also are unable to be accomplished because of to the file becoming read through-only. Is there a way all around this issue, other than proscribing consumers to only becoming ready to check out in from explorer?
