I am guaranteed there is alot out on the internet about making an attempt to conceal the relation icons that automatically seem when making an attempt to decide an entity but nothing at all that I’ve go through effectively operates continually.  My primary annoyance is when utilizing the Hole Wizard.  In purchase to completely determine a linear sample (for occasion), I need to have to dimension vertically concerning two holes in the sample underneath then make give both equally of them a vertical relation.  I typically don’t have an concern with holes, but now I have slots and basically are unable to get them sample completely described.  I have relations turned off in the HUD.  I’ve even gone as significantly as suppressing the relation but now it turns black and I nonetheless are unable to decide the slot centerpoint beneath the icon to dimension.  These icons just seem when making an attempt to do things and you are unable to decide the sketch points beneath them except if I am missing a thing.  I am on SW2015.  I tried utilizing filters but had no get the job done either.  Any strategies would be significantly appreciated.

P.S.  I have undefined points in a sketch established to the purple coloration as an alternative of the default blue.  In essence I are unable to increase relations to entities after the relation icon covers up the defining stage to decide on it)

Can dimension vertically concerning holes:

But now when I try to give both equally of them a vertical relation, I are unable to decide the centerpoints cuz the application picks the sample relation icons as an alternative given that they seem after I decide on the to start with hole (I are unable to decide on the to start with hole but whilst holding ctrl and decide on the 2nd hole, the sample icons seem so the next slot centerpoint are unable to be chosen):

This is a small history to what I have.

I now have a macro to listing in all elements of an assembly in an excel sheet.

I will run the macro on the assembly, it will open excel and start out listing each individual elements, thereafter it will reorder that listing alphabetically.

The columns of the excel sheet are centered on each component’s tailor made home (set using a different macro).

In basic, most elements have a blank “Remarks” column.

For particular elements, I will place them in a Assembly Tree Folder named “Kit”

I need to have a code that I can insert on to my macro, these kinds of that it can “detect” if particular elements are in that “Kit” folder and insert the term “Kit” to the remark column.

The challenge I have is that I can not just just insert the term “Kit” to the component’s “Remarks” tailor made home, as these elements when utilised in other assemblies are not “Kit” objects, and I you should not want them to have the “Kit” in remarks when I run my macro for other assemblies.

I’m making use of Solidworks to layout parts to be 3d-printed.

I’ve observed that if I’m producing an assembly, in which 1 component has characteristics that contact other parts, then when I consider to save that assembly as an STL for printing, I am going to get a dialog from Solidworks indicating “This assembly has coincident or interfering geometry that may perhaps be unsuitable for some swift prototyping techniques.” If I save it, then this STL later will cause issues when attempting to print it.

What can I do? I might like to be ready to print my assemblies.

Below is a very very simple instance assembly in which you can see this phenomenon. Component 1 is just a very simple cube, and component 2 is yet another very simple cube that is flush with component 1.
